Kokedama Workshop with Lucy Davenport of Bonsai Akira

We are excited to announce another workshop here in the Thicket garden, this time with Lucy Davenport of Bonsai Akira.

The art of kokedama has its origins in Japan, and is the practice of using soil and moss as the base from which ornamental plants can grow. In this workshop, Lucy will guide you in the formation of your own kokedama moss ball. You will be able to choose your own decorative plant, whether that be anthuriums, orchids, ferns, or even some sweet succulents!

Provided for you will be all of the materials you will need: soil, moss, 4" plants for you to choose from, saucers, string, and instructions for care. We can't wait to see all of your wonderful creations!

Sunday, October 23rd
